Brooklyn’s Elsewhere rolled out a three-tiered membership program to reward loyal patrons and spur venue traffic. Perks like free coat checks, half-priced tickets, and skipped lines aim to create a seamless nightlife experience while saving clubbers a buck.

Elsewhere’s memberships have something for every pocket, with prices ranging from $2 to $30 a month. Called ”Freaks with Benefits,” the music venue’s cheapest subscription offers free cloakroom, special promos, and priority access for $2.

Those willing to spend an extra buck can opt for “Sonic Explorer,” which costs $6 and adds on half-off tickets for you and a guest. Along with those perks, members can also access invite-only Elsewhere events.

For 30$, party-goers get the “Patron Saint” status, which translates into unlimited free entry and reserved tickets for sold-out events.

When someone purchases the Elsewhere membership – at any tier – they are automatically invited into the club’s Discord. Acting as a chat group for like-minded people, the channel is an opportunity to participate in promotions, contests, and giveaways.

In a press release, Elsewhere said its memberships don’t aim to create a “VIP status” but allow fans to enjoy music “more often, and more cheaply.”

“This membership program was built to further our mission of bringing all people together under the banner of new and radical music.”

Since Paradise Garage days, club membership has been a key part of nightlife culture. Clubs like London’s Fabric and New York-based Nowadays offer discounts, presale access, and special deals to those paying monthly subscriptions.
