Illegal raves won’t be a problem in Cornwall, as officers will use a four-wheeled golf buddy to halt unlicensed parties. Designed to combat countryside crime, the super-charged Kubota is the first all-terrain transport of its type in the region.

Cops will mainly use the vehicle to protect communities and livestock in Cornwall’s countryside, but illegal raves are part of the picture. According to a police statement, unlicensed music events have been on the rise and called for more “community policing.”

The vehicle is marked in police livery and is equipped with emergency lighting, sirens, binoculars, and a thermal imager.

Although online users mocked the vehicle by calling it “a golf cart with a siren,” Devon & Cornwall Police’s Rural Affairs Officer, PC Chris Collins, said the vehicle boasts durability and the ability to access off-road areas.

“This ATV will enable us to see and be seen by communities in villages and hamlets across the moor to support our communities no matter the weather or state of terrain.”

Other users praised the initiative, saying it will be a great asset for tackling countryside crime.
