Glasgow’s Buff Club has answered a call to provide parties for a demographic often overlooked in the clubbing world. Billed as ‘The Overs,’ the Glasgow initiative is designed for revelers over 30 who yearn for their tireless twenties days, minus the late bedtime shackles.
Ditching the norm of sunrise closing times, the club night will run from 7 PM to 11 PM. In a Facebook post, the Glasgow club’s management announced the new event addition, saying, “Forget about the Unders, it’s now time for The Overs.”
The post evokes a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminding followers of the club’s 20-year history.
“But as time passed and adult responsibilities took hold, many of our original Bath Lane crew moved onto afternoon brunches, local pints, Netflix binges and early nights in. However, your clamour for a good old fashioned, Buff Club boogie is still very much alive, and we’ve listened.”
The first event is slated for June 17th, with resident DJs taking over the audio decks to deliver “buff classics.”
Former staff members will receive free entry, while party-goers under 30 are also welcome, but with a stiff warning. “If we see any TikToks getting filmed on the dance floor you’ll be getting papped,” the club management wrote.
