Imitating the vibe of European hip-hop clubs, Ruff puts urban music on a pedestal.
When it opened in 2020, the high-spirited club called the Xinyi district, west of New Taipei City, its forever home. Although the area is predominantly known as a business center, its slew of eye-catching bars, hedonistic clubs, and late-night eateries tell a different story.
Ruff might be located in an area with a lot of foot traffic, but its large black entrance and multi-story building are hard to miss.
The Taipei club acts as a fuss-free clubbing destination, but it doesn’t look anything like it. With an upscale club appeal, Ruff features dangling chandeliers, multi-colored light shows, and a vibrant atmosphere.
Behind the DJ booth, a large LED wall showcases the kind of visuals that make you stop and stare.
A fan of urban beats through and through, Ruff blasts nothing but catchy rap songs. If you aren’t into hip-hop-only music sets, this is not the club for you.
While Ruff’s crowds can be diverse, most of the club’s patrons are Gen Zers who listen to Drake on repeat.
With a permanently buzzing atmosphere and the best party vibes, Taipei’s Ruff knows how to make your clubbing session worthwhile.
