Holocene is a club and music venue in East Portland, located inside a former auto-parts warehouse. The nightclub first saw the light in 2003.
The club, featuring an industrial-modern interior, gives off grungy vibes. It spans private areas, a top-floor bar, and two dark main rooms equipped with a stage. Holocene’s rooms can be merged with a retractable wall, creating an accommodating dance floor.
Although Holocene is renowned for hosting up-and-coming talents focused on electronic music with a mix of hip-hop, the two-storied venue presents a wide range of DJs like Kidswaste alongside indie-rock performances.
