Reigning at the forefront of bulletproof techno beats, Elsewhere has earned its reputation as one of underground music’s most precious jewels.
Elsewhere started sharing its free-spirited ethos in 2017. The visionaries at the helm are friends Rami Haykal, Jake Rosenthal, and Dhruv Chopra, founder of the now-closed Grasslands.
Housed in an actual renovated warehouse in the Bushwick neighborhood of north Brooklyn, Elsewhere is the authentically “underground” and “warehouse-like” used to describe the industrial aesthetic of other nightclubs.
This sprawling Bushwick venue hosts two performance spaces, a full bar, a rooftop, and an art gallery. Not only a nightclub, but the owners of Elsewhere also open the space during the day for artists, musicians, and community members to gather for coffee and a bite to eat.
As the night sets in, Elsewhere morphs into a gritty nightclub, where electronic, rock, and hip-hop beats reign. Despite its multi-genre category, Elsewhere promotes house and techno music.
While the venue prides itself on supporting up-and-coming artists, Elsewhere’s reputation as an underground nightclub has attracted celebrity artists like Sean Paul and DJs Disclosure, Walker & Royce, and Devault.
Clubbers have commented on the top-shelf sound system, with unmatched quality. Elsewhere positions itself as a club for everyone. Their motto, “a city that vibes together, thrives together,” perfectly reflects the club’s values and mission.
As a highly-respected part of the Brooklyn music scene, you can expect nothing less than the most authentic underground New York clubbing experience.
