Electric Room is an intimate bar and nightclub that reflects New York’s nightlife with a British twist.
It launched back in 2011, fuelled by founder Nur Khan’s desire to bring London’s rock and roll scene to New York. Located in the posh Chelsea neighborhood of west Manhattan, this basement lounge sits beneath Dream Downtown Hotel.
Nur Khan was inspired by the London punk scene when creating the interior design for Electric Room. Brown leather sofas with the Union flag, plush red velvet seats, gothic-style chandeliers, and antique mirrors transport you to Britain.
Even though Electric Room blasts a very rock-friendly playlist, the club speakers will mix in electronic, hip-hop, and other genres of music for fun. This boutique nightclub has a capacity of only up to 100 people on any given night, so exclusivity is the name of the game.
Partygoers seeking entrance into Electric Room should be dressed to impress as this exclusive nightclub caters to an upscale clientele. Table service is available for anyone looking to splurge on VIP for a birthday celebration, bachelor or bachelorette party, or just living it up in New York.
