DC9 is one of the city’s most beloved nightlife spots for concert-like clubbing.
DC9 was established in 2004 in Shaw, Northwest of the city. The club is in a two-story building that once housed Metro Cafe, Club Hollywood, and Asylum. It features an intimate saloon bar, a cozy concert hall, and a rooftop deck.
The club is renowned for its dance parties, karaoke events, and alternative music. Though DC9 is known for hosting indie rock acts, it has recently added house music to its roster.
Despite the venue’s intimate size, a buzzing hipster audience brings out the energy in DC9. The club draws a wide range of laid-back patrons because of the variety of its activities.
