The Rotterdam club, founded in 2011, received its name as a reference to Charlie Parker, the New York Jazz saxophonist nicknamed “Bird.”
The nightclub is in north Rotterdam, Europe’s largest seaport. Found under the decommissioned railway of De Hofbogen, the nightclub is literally and figuratively underground.
The cozy club features a bar, an urban-style terrace, and a restaurant regarded as a crossroad of cultures as it offers international cuisine from Italian to Mediterranean and Arab.
Operating from Tuesday to Saturday, BIRD is widely recognized as a multi-genre club mainly focusing on jazz music. The club often branches out into hip-hop, funk, electronica, and Latin, attracting international and local crowds.
Perfect to wind down with good wine, flavorful dishes, atmospheric concerts, and live performances, BIRD is the place to be.
