Often referred to as Vienna’s most prestigious club, Babenberger Passage brings posh partying to an adulation level.
Since 2003, the futuristic nightlife spot has been throwing some of the best parties in the city. Quirky from A to Z, Babenberger Passage is situated in a former pedestrian underpass in central Vienna.
The district that houses the nightlife venue is Innere Stadt and acts as the city’s old town with gothic churches, art galleries, and international eateries dotting the area.
Oozing a hi-tech vibe, the Vienna club combines state-of-the-art lighting with a Funktion-One sound system. Stepping into Babenberge Passage club feels like entering a spaceship, thanks to its offbeat light shapes adorning the ceiling and weirdly shaped VIP booths.
The nightlife spot definitely falls into the medium-sized club category, with a vast dancing space and multiple seating areas.
Like any self-respecting club, Babenberger Passage plays a mix of electronic, house, and R&B music. Beyond the weekly local DJs, blue-blooded artists like Timbaland and Craig David also made appearances at the clubbing spot.
While the prestigious club claims to have an open-door policy, getting the bouncer’s affirmative nod is a challenge. A vibrant crowd of party-goers who aren’t afraid to splurge are the familiar faces here.
A must-visit for any clubber and an example of what nightlife venues should be, Babenberge Passage stands tall in Europe’s nightlife hierarchy.
