Escape the chaos of everyday life in Berlin and treat yourself to a truly memorable experience at Haubentaucher, the club that fuses together outstanding nightlife with chilled-out poolside vibes.
In 2015, the Haubentaucher nightclub was born in a former industrial complex called RAW-Gelände. Here you will find a delightful pool and outdoor deck surrounded by the aged ruins of this site – it’s an unbeatable experience that offers both leisure and history.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, they even have their very own artificial beach, allowing party-goers to bask in the beauty of sunsets or early mornings.
Haubentaucher club is the ultimate destination for dynamic live music events and performances, featuring local and international acts that offer visitors a truly extraordinary party experience.
From lounging by its pool to shaking up the dance floor all night long, Haubentaucher offers an unforgettable adventure for people of every background and age.
This venue’s beach-club vibes make it the ideal summer spot to get away without having to leave the city.
Here is everything you need to know about Haubentaucher Berlin.
With a grungy French Riviera allure and beach club glamor, Haubentaucher Berlin is a nightlife paradox.
In the spring of 2015, Berlin added another nightlife hub to its seemingly endless indie clubbing destinations and underground music temples.
But Haubentaucher lacks the Berlinesque zeitgeist – spelled out as eat, sleep, rave, repeat – that monopolizes the vast majority of the city’s clubland.
When the masterminds behind the off-the-wall clubbing project – Alexis Kalpakidis, Jan Denecke, Azar Moorad, and Daniel Lente – named their brainchild after an elegant water bird, they created an urban oasis in Berlin’s heart.
In a MorgenPost interview, Kalpakidis described Haubentaucher’s unique selling point as a 360° approach for day-to-night entertainment.
Fast forward to today, Berlin’s eye-catching Haubentaucher garnered a reputation as an inner-city jungle where you can get the Mediterranean vibe without booking flights to Ibiza.
In the heart of central Berlin’s Friedrichshain district, the energy is palpable and the punky vibes are contagious. As one of the city’s most artsy areas, Friedrichshain attracts international globetrotters with its casual eateries and indie boutiques.
As a former working class district, Friedrichshain has come a long way since the end of the Soviet era.
Surrounded by hip areas and sweeping views over the Spree, the central neighbourhood embodies a swanky mix of creative freethinkers, flea markets, and chic bar experiences.
Berlin’s Haubentaucher found its home in Friedrichshain’s core, a stone’s throw away from the Warschauer Straße railway station. A stroll around the nightclub’s area will demonstrate that Haubentaucher’s neighborhoods are only snack bars and quirky watering holes.
Haubentaucher Berlin found shelter in the former RAW (Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk) site, a former jumble of derelict railways that now houses a cluster of subcultural nightclubs, bars, and nightlife hubs.
With a jaw-dropping capacity of 1,500 clubbers, the summeresque music mecca raises the bar for Berlin venues hunting the festival feeling. Stylish and industrial, Haubentaucher found shelter in a former brick railway station.
Most of the architecture has passed the test of time with flying colors, transporting clubbers to Berlin’s roaring ’90s. The historic brick walls are embellished with vivid graffiti – although they are fairly new, they were tailored to look old.
As a 7,000 square meter urban jungle, Haubentaucher is a sand-covered playground with a pergola, pool, and palm-fringed bars.
The 240 square meter swimming pool is framed by a vast sundeck of white stone tiles and wooden floors. Brimming with chaise lounges, umbrellas, and lush greenery, Haubentaucher Berlin is living proof that life is better by the pool.
Directly adjacent, two sandy patches and a chill-out area scattered with hammocks bring in a cozy atmosphere. But when the night falls, the vibrant beer garden transforms into an open-air nightclub, resembling a modest Ibiza beach club.
Every clubber is different – and Haubentaucher knows how to tap into that too well. With an international approach to everything it does, the Berlin music temple uses hip-hop and R&B beats as a warm-up for its late electronic sessions.
While bands are regular stage players, the ones responsible for Haubentaucher’s ineffable soundtrack are its resident DJs. Wanillaice, Iamkimkong, and DJ Noppe paint the picture of a diverse music group who bridges the gap between music genres.
As you can tell, Haubentaucher gives voice to unsung artists who want to break through the ceiling through foot-tapping sets.
Urban pool, mural-covered walls and bumpy music sets that make clubbers feel like sky is the only limit – this sounds way too familiar.
When the founders designed the Haubentaucher concept, their mood board was Sonar festival.
The combination of open-air spaces and Mediterranean vibe – accompanied by electronic beats – was a major source of inspiration.
Long story short, the alternative melting defies Berlin’s gloomy and elusive character by soaking up a Mediterranean atmosphere.
