With international and up-and-coming live acts, De Helling has been a Utrecht sensation for two decades.
The nightclub opened in 2003 as Tivoli de Helling, only going by De Helling after being privatized. Housed inside a former museum depot, the club is in Tolsteeg, southeast Utrecht.
The building was first De Vrije Vloer, a club and pop concert hall in 2000, which went bankrupt in 2003, making room for De Helling.
Minimalistic is one way to describe the club’s interior. The dance floor has black walls, an inviting stage, and an overhead DJ deck. The bar is cozy with greenery, white graffiti on black walls, a small set, and wooden tables.
De Helling nightclub earns its reputation as a music temple, with everything from pop, reggaeton, jazz, and rock to hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and experimental beats blasting.
De Helling makes the most out of its top-tier sound system, hosting talents like Oscar Anton and DJ IMANU.
The nightclub always has something new to offer, like the Aswolk Festival mixing art and music. Pieces by artists like Annemarie Slobbe are on display, with dance music keeping the night alive.
De Helling’s arms are always open for anyone eager to experience the authentic Utrecht nightlife. From locals to tourists and Gen Y to Gen Z, everyone wants a taste of De Helling club’s irresistible appeal.
If unwinding and letting loose is what you have in mind, De Helling is the right wo(man) for the job, with a clear and crisp sound system and unparalleled lineups.
